How do I install and configure my FRITZ!WLAN Repeater

You can configure your FRITZ!WLAN Repeater via WPS with a simple push of the button or using a browser-based Wizard.

Establishing a wireless LAN connection using WPS

1. Plug the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater into an outlet near the FRITZ!Box.

2. Press the "WPS" button on the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater for about 6 seconds until the "WLAN" LED flashes.

3. Hold down the "WLAN" button on your FRITZ!Box until the "WLAN" LED flashes (6 seconds). If available, you can also press the "WPS" button shortly.

Establishing a wireless LAN connection over the browser

1. Plug the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater into an outlet near the FRITZ!Box.

2. Establish a WiFi connection between your computer and the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater. The preconfigured network key of the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater is 00 00 00 00 (8 zeros).

3. After the initial registration of the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater, simply enter "fritz.repeater" in the web browser. The FRITZ!WLAN Repeater Wizard then guides you through the remaining configuration steps.

Option for FRITZ!WLAN Repeaters with an additional Ethernet port: You can also establish the connection to your computer via LAN cable, enter "fritz.repeater" in your browser and follow the steps of the configuration Wizard.

After establishing the wireless LAN connection

Once the WiFi connection is established, you can use the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater on any outlet on which you want to use the device. Ideally, you'll choose a position halfway between your FRITZ!Box and the used wireless devices. The LED indicating signal strength on the FRITZ!WLAN Repeater supports you in finding the optimum socket.
